Support my Move in March challenge

Every donation, no matter the size, helps to maintain the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital's position as a global pioneer of progress in orthopaedic treatment, making the impossible possible.

If you are able to give today, RNOH Charity will use your donation to help strengthen and support the Hospital to create the best patient experience.

I owe my whole mobility to the wonderful NHS Orthopaedic Teams, who corrected a birth defect whereby my knees would often dislocate. The Late Mr Howse, my surgeon, performed a few operations on both knees and restored my mobility. I am so grateful to all the staff of the NHS, our greatest institution, our greatest asset, ours!

And the end of March is near...

Tuesday 31st Mar
Well, I've amazed myself and smashed the 100-mile target! Those lovely walks have definitely spurred me on to continue my daily exercise. Thought I would never do 100 miles, but with the right mindset and positive vibes, so chuffed to have made it there (with a few extra miles on top). Thanks to you, wonderful, generous supporters. You have made 5 Harrow & Pinner Lions extremely proud to be part of a great club. XXX

And a week goes by...

Sunday 8th Mar
Thank you to all those who have donated money to this Challenge. Determined to reach that 100 miles by end of month. This has been a wonderful chance to start moving on a regular basis.

Dancing in those steps

Sunday 22nd Feb
Danced a fair bit last night - celebrating with friends. Got those steps up to 17,000+ Wonderful time dancing to some golden oldies, but as an oldie myself, couldn't quite muster the energy I had when these tracks first came out (70s to 90s). Had fun trying...

From couch potato to 10,000 steps

Tuesday 17th Feb
Starting my training (??) for the Challenge. Stepping out for strolls around my local area. Even did Wembley to home today - 5,000+ steps. Not only helping to get those miles up, but hoping it will get those pounds (lbs) down!
