A journey of a 1000 steps begins with a single mile
(Wait, that doesn’t sound right...)
They say the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. But as a Foot and Ankle Surgeon, I wonder... why take a 161,000 steps when you can just cycle a hundred miles and put a little less strain on your feet?
I am embarking on a 100-mile challenge—alternating between walking and (let’s be honest, mostly) cycling—to raise vital funds for the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) Charity.
Why am I doing this?
As a surgeon at RNOH, I see firsthand how our hospital makes the "impossible" possible. We don't just sort out wonky feet, we try to make life worth living for our patients. But all of this work requires support - particularly in the current NHS climate.
Where does your money go?
Every donation, no matter the size, ensures that RNOH remains at the forefront of medical innovation. Your support helps:
Maintain our status as a world leader in orthopaedic treatment.
Strengthen and support the hospital’s infrastructure.
Create the best patient experience possible for those under our care.
How you can help
I’ll be doing the leg work—literally—so you don’t have to. If you are able to give today, you can trust that the RNOH Charity will put every penny to work helping patients get back on their feet (some pun intended).
What do people say about me?
"I hope he's a great surgeon, because his grasp of metaphors is questionable." — Presumably most of my registrars and patients.
Thank you for helping us keep the RNOH moving forward!
